Discover the importance of Christian community and how to find meaningful friendships within the church.
Psalm 133:1 - “How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity!”
At Trinity, we believe that finding a community of friends is essential for our well-being and spiritual growth.
The Importance of Fellowship
The Bible emphasizes the importance of fellowship and being part of a community. Hebrews 10:24-25 encourages us to "consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another." Being connected to a church community provides us with support, accountability, and opportunities to grow in our faith.
Community in the early Church
The early church exemplified the beauty of Christian community. Acts 2:42-47 describes how believers devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching, fellowship, breaking of bread, and prayer. They shared their lives, supported each other, and grew together in faith. This model shows us that true community involves more than just attending services; it means building genuine relationships and serving one another in love.
To find a community of friends at Trinity, we invite you to get involved in church activities, small groups, or Bible studies. You can find some of our upcoming events here. Volunteering and participating in church events can also help you connect with others who share your faith. Proverbs 27:17 says, "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another." By surrounding ourselves with Godly friends, we can encourage and strengthen each other, becoming more like Jesus where we live, work, and play.
